A Seamless User Booking Experience

imin's Branded Checkout is a partially-customisable whitelabel product that gives the user a seamless booking experience, as illustrated below:

Here is a step-by-step illustration of the booking journey, from search (1) and session/facility details (2) , through session/facility selection (3), payment (4) and confirmation (5) (images 3-5 are the three Checkout pages):

Please note, the above examples illustrate the booking journey via the imin Guest Checkout, whereby the user has to enter their name and email address when booking. Please see below for more information about the two types of Checkout on offer.

Please note, the user journey prior to booking will differ from the above examples depending on your own search functionality.

Checkout Functionality

The "imin Branded Checkout" refers to the Checkout flow illustrated above - the branded pages that the users works through, having clicked "Book" on your search platform, to complete a booking. The specific way that the Checkout works depends on which of the following options you choose.

Guest Checkout

This is the basic Checkout whereby the user is required to enter their forename, surname and email address, along with their payment details, to book onto a session/facility.

This approach is useful where you users are not able to register/login as members in your search platform before booking. In this way, it is very easy to implement and a quick way to offer your users bookable sessions/facilities.

For more information on how to make bookings via the imin Guest Checkout, please see this page.

Authenticated Checkout

This Checkout only requires the user to enter their payment details to book onto a session/facility. This is because they will already have signed into as a member of your search platform before booking. In this way, you can include their forename, surname and email address in a Request Webhook to us, along with the information about the session/facility they want to book. When the Authenticated Checkout subsequently loads, this information will already have been accounted for and all that is left to do is enter payment details.

This approach also allows us to provide information about the session that has been booked back to you in a Success Webhook, so you can include this in any member dashboard. In this way, users can easily see what sessions/facilities they have booked onto.

Standalone Checkout

The Standalone Checkout is available for customers who are not using the imin Events API and are instead processing open data directly.

For more information on how to make bookings via the imin Authenticated Checkout, please see this .
